According to the decree on flag flying, there are several official flag days in Finland in 2024:

January

• 1: Alvar och Aino Aalto day Day of Finnish

February

• 3: Election Day first round of presidential election

Customary Flag Days

In addition to the official flag days, there are also a number of customary flag days in Finland. These days are not specified in the decree on flag flying, but they are widely observed by Finns.

Some of the most popular customary flag days in 2024 include:

• June 4: National Parade of the Flag Day of the Finnish Defence Forces


• June 20: Midsummer Eve


• December 6: Finnish Independence Day
